Kuala Lumpur International Airport is the main airport serving Kuala Lumpur, with two different terminals. The airport is well-connected to various cities across the world, such as Beijing, Delhi, Manila, Tokyo, London, Singapore, etc. Some of the major international airlines serving this airport include Air China, Air India, AirAsia, All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Jetstar Asia Airways and many more.
Railway service in Malaysia is provided by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM). Most of the intercity and international trains operate at KL Sentral Railway Station. There are regular trains to and from various cities across Malaysia and also international cities, such as Singapore, Hat Yai in Thailand, etc. The prices are reasonable and tickets can be booked online. Some of the trains also stop at Kuala Lumpur’s old station, known as Kuala Lumpur Railway Station. You can also reach Kuala Lumpur via ferry services from Sumatra in Indonesia to Port Klang, which is 40 km away from Kuala Lumpur.
Kuala Lumpur is connected to various cities in Peninsular Malaysia, by road. North-South Expressway is a major expressway that passes through the city. The Karak Highway (E8), which later turns into the East Coast Expressway, links Kuala Lumpur with the East Coast states of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan. There are several bus stations and terminals in the city, but the main ones are Pudu Sentral, Hentian Putra, Terminal Bersepadu Selatan and Pekeliling Bus Terminal. Buses are available from various cities in Malaysia and also from international cities. The bus services from Singapore include KKKL, Transnasional and Konsortium Bas Ekspres Semenanjung (KBES). From Hat Yai in Thailand, you can avail buses provided by KBES and Alisan Golden Coach Express.
