HOW TO REACH
Zurich has direct links with all the major cities of Europe through its airways. The most popular air service in the city is provided by Swiss International Air Lines followed by EasyJet and Air Berlin that offer flights to Germany and Southern Europe. It must be noted that Zurich Airport has a separate underground railway station that is connected to Zurich as well as other Swiss cities.
The central railway station of the city is Hauptbahnhof (HB) located at the centre which is linked to various cities across the continent like Berlin, Cologne, Paris, Milano, Vienna, Munich, Budapest and the likes. There are suburban (S-Bahn), long distance (IR, IC and ICN) and regional (RE) trains that travel to and fro Zurich every day making it the busiest railway station in Switzerland. Zurich’s railway network is usually operated by the Federal Railways while being also served by many EuroCity trains.
Zurich offers long distance coach services that are well connected to other European cities, especially those from the Western Balkans or Spain. It also provides a bi-weekly bus to Bosnia and Herzegovina and to Banja Luka.
